Lillian T. Cat, our Silver Shaded Persian on the Home Page, or Jackson, in my arms on the right, are pets that Diane and I have owned who, I suspect, felt they owned us. Both were adopted from rescue organizations. My love for Lily and Jackson, and the realization that pets do so much to enrich our lives, inspired me to become a pet law specialist. That commitment is renewed every day when I see how many homeless pets are being offered for adoption by private rescue organizations and public shelters.
After graduating in 1970 from Pepperdine University with a B.A.in History, I spent three years at USC's Gould School of Law. After graduating in 1973, I developed my legal skills while practicing in a corporate law department and in small firms. For the last thirty years I have been the principal in the Law Offices of Steven D. Wegner.
